Members are homeowners who pay annual membership fees of $49 (for promotional purposes the first year membership may be discounted or given for free). Members call HOCOA when they have home repair projects or need routine maintenance services in or outside the home. HOCOA has a list of preapproved home repair contractors who are licensed (if required), insured and have good, solid resources. HOCOA contractors who are members of SECBN will receive the first call. The job scopes can range from small repairs like leaky faucets or minor carpentry to major installs like decks, additions or renovations. Our contractors are generally regarded as being rated in the top 20% of their trade or area of expertise for professionalism, technical knowledge and job experience. HOCOA offers its members product and service promotions and discounts. Communication to members is generally done through their website at www.HOCOAatlanta.com, e-mails, and newsletters. HOCOA was started in Charlotte , NC in 1994 and currently has over 500,000 members in approximately 15 US cities. HOC OA-Atlanta has the development rights to Cherokee and Cobb counties.
